Anamorphic Attachments 1.25x
![]() |
Anamorphic attachments with the factor 1.25x are used for the optical format conversion from Widescreen to Cinemascope. Compared with the electronic format conversion, the optical format conversion has the considerable advantage that the complete display (DMD) area in the projector can be used without any cutting. The electronic format conversion generates black bars on the top and bottom edge of the display which cut off light and pixels. Consequently, the important advantage of the anamorphic format conversion is the increased image brightness and resolution by 25%. This photometric advantage can be used in order to reduce the lamp power of the projector or enables the customer to use a lamp with less power. This results in lower lamp and operating costs for the Digital Cinema.
